The European Union might “act quickly and firmly” against what it calls “unwarranted” visa bans imposed by the US against five Europeans involved in fighting online hate and disinformation, an EU official has said.

European Leaders Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as the French president charged the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the visa restrictions targeted individuals that were central to campaigns to enact laws regulating American tech companies.
